Stories on the Lawn
With: NETTIE REYNOLDS, SARA LAAS PUIG, ABEL LOMAS, WENDY SALOME, and JOSH DAVIS. SUSAN MACK as emcee.
Join us on the front lawn of Austin’s Neill Cochrane House Museum for a night of Moth-style true personal stories. Local comedians and storytellers tell personal tales beneath the grand columns of the NCHM porch. March 2nd is Texas Independence Day and the theme of the show is “independence.” Storytellers take us on journeys of empowerment, liberation, and breaking free.
Looking for the bar? Our friends from Still Austin Whiskey Co will be on site serving delicious cocktails. Coming by car? The Neill-Cochran House Museum features free parking behind the museum for attendees.
Cost: $15 for nonmembers, $5 for students. All proceeds support the Neill-Cochran House Museum.
This performance will be held primarily outside on the spacious front lawn with social distancing measures in place. Attendees are welcome to tour the Museum before the performance. Free parking is available behind the Museum.

About the Neill-Cochran House Museum
The Neill-Cochran House Museum is an independent nonprofit that preserves and reflects the experience of some of Austin’s earliest residents. Built in 1855, the house and slave quarters and the collections they display shed light on the local, individual, and political history of our always-growing city. Today, the Museum features rotating exhibits, a speaker series called "Modern Times," and free monthly events for the entire family. The main house is among the oldest residences still standing in Austin. The site is also home to the only remaining intact slave quarters in the city.
